North West legal firm Forbes Solicitors has advised LBT Holdings over the sale of Bolton-based LBT Brick and Facades to Brickability UK Holdings, based in Bridgend South Wales.

The deal, for an undisclosed sum, sees the expansion of Brickability, providing it with increased coverage in the North West.

Martyn Wells, director and shareholder of LBT Holdings, will still play an active role in the business at its Manchester Road base.

Associate solicitor Jenny Burke from Forbes’ corporate team, based at Walton Summit, Preston, acted for LBT Holdings on the sale and Matthew Jones, an associate solicitor in the commercial property team in Blackburn, acted in relation to a lease of the trading premises.

Tom Wilkinson, of Pierce Chartered Accountants, provided corporate finance expertise for LBT Holdings and Acuity Law acted for Brickability.

Jenny Burke said: “This deal sees the expansion of Brickability and the continuity of Brick and Facades, which also trades as Lancashire Brick.

“We are delighted to have been asked to assist LBT Holdings and to deliver expert advice and experience at such a key time.”

Tom Wilkinson said: “It was a pleasure to provide strategic advice to LBT Holdings as they sold their business to Brickability.

“We now look forward to seeing how Brickability take the business to the next level and we wish the team every success for the future.”

Brickability says it is the market leading supplier of facing bricks, blocks, rainscreen cladding systems, architectural masonry, roofing tiles and slates to the construction industry.

Based in Bridgend it also has offices in Cardiff, Bracknell, Berkshire, Tamworth, Staffordshire and Mitcham, Surrey.

The Brickability Group also has other companies based in areas such as Leeds and Newcastle.
