Christopher Ratten and Jeremy Woodside, of RSM Restructuring Advisory, were appointed joint administrators to Harrison Brothers Furniture on the May 23.

Harrison Brothers is a long-established manufacturer of bedroom furniture and has been trading for more than 40 years, supplying both retail customers and contractors with a range of bedroom furniture.

The company employs 60 staff.

The Company suffered some operational and trading issues which put pressure on cashflow, and led to the directors placing the company into administration

Following the appointment of administrators, the company was subsequently sold to HB Furniture Limited, a company which was set up by Wendy and Jane Harrison who are the daughters of the original founders.

Chris Ratten, RSM restructuring advisory partner and joint administrator, said: “The business has been trading for a long time in the area and has a skilled workforce, so, it’s great to see that the deal will allow the business and staff to move forward under new ownership.”
