Manchester law firm JMW Solicitors has strengthened its ranks with two new partners

Steve Morris has joined JMW’s commercial litigation team from DWF where he was a partner and head of commercial litigation in Manchester.

Steve works across all areas of commercial litigation and clients he acts for include United Utilities and Essar Oil.

JMW’s Commercial Litigation team led by Marc Yaffe has grown from 22 to 40 fee earners in the last two years and billings in this time increased by 26%.

Simon Maddox joins the real estate commercial team as a partner from Slater Heelis

Previously he spent over 12 years at national law firms Gateley and Halliwells.

Simon works across all areas of real estate commercial with an emphasis on investment and owner / occupier work.

He also has a breadth of experience within the retail sector having worked for many national and institutional retailers.

Simon’s clients include Quorum Estates, who have over 30 years’ experience within the commercial property sector and are a leading developer and investor in the North West.

The real estate commercial team at JMW has grown from 20 fee earners to 40 in the last two years, with billing increasing by 35% also in this period.
