CBRE brings residential site with potential for 303 homes to market

Don Street, Middleton

Acting on behalf of Rock Co Capital, CBRE’s UK development team in Manchester, jointly with Knight Frank, has been instructed to bring to market a 32-acre residential site.

With outline planning permission granted for around 303 homes, the site is located on Don Street in Middleton, Greater Manchester.

It is currently vacant and is located within the settlement boundary of Middleton in Greater Manchester.

The land is mainly flat with the immediate surrounds comprising both residential and employment uses.

Residential accommodation lies to the north and west of the land while the southern boundary comprises a mix of commercial uses and the A66 (Oldham Road). The site is accessible via Don Street.

Outline planning permission was granted in March 2017 for up to 303 homes to be developed on the site and the council has shown support to release the wider area of land being developed for residential purposes.

The site is located within the settlement boundary of the town of Middleton which benefits from excellent transport links and a wealth of amenities, including shops, restaurants and convenience stores.

The M62 motorway is directly accessible from the site via the A627 Rochdale Road (A664), approximately four miles north east of Don Street. Manchester city centre lies approximately seven miles away and Rochdale town centre is approximately 6.5 miles from the site.

Steven Verity, Northern head, UK development & residential at CBRE Manchester, said: “We are pleased to bring to market the Don Street site which has the potential to be transformed into a popular residential location.

“The position of the site on the Middleton boundary, coupled with the excellent transport links and host of amenities close by, will appeal to a number of investors seeking good quality land with high prospects.”
