The SJC team

Manchester-based financial and legal recruitment consultancy SJC has made two new appointments, bringing the team’s combined recruitment experience to 80 years.

The firm has appointed Tom Allen from Oliver James who joins as principal consultant into SJC’s expanding commerce and industry team to focus on the North West qualified finance market.

Operations director and leader of the C&I business, Adam Lunney, said: “Tom has a superb reputation in the market and brings a wealth of experience to complement the current team. I’m delighted to welcome Tom on board as a key member of our team.”

Tom joins the business shortly after the appointment of Paul Lewis from Robert Walters, who leads SJC’s forensics, eDiscovery, incident response, information governance, cyber security, data analytics, fraud, risk and financial crime offering.

Paul said: “I am excited to continue developing this market at SJC alongside a highly-experienced and driven team. I have known SJC for a good while and their relationship-focused, consultative approach felt like the right fit for me to further develop my business.”

SJC’s expansion comes just after the management buyout of the business from its original venture capital investors by managing director Steve Crossley who said: “This is a really exciting time for us and I’m delighted to welcome Paul and Tom to the business as they are both experts in their respective fields.

“Despite the supposed uncertainty in the market, we are on track for a record year, which will be further enhanced by Paul and Tom.”
