Rail repairs will create 16 days of disruption for businesses and commuters
North West businesses and commuters have been warned of more than two weeks of disruption on some of the region's busiest rail routes.
In just over a month’s time a major junction on the West Coast main line will close for 16 days for vital engineering work in Warrington.
Between July 20 and August 4, Network Rail will be upgrading track, cabling, overhead lines and signalling on the busy Acton Grange junction, which is used by more than 260 trains every day.
