Manchester and Liverpool among UK’s most expensive airport car parks

Manchester and Liverpool are among the most expensive airports in the UK for car parking.

New research into parking prices across UK airports by My Late Deals reveals that the average car parking rate for the cheapest space at an official airport car park for two weeks came in at £88.34.

London City Airport topped the 10 most expensive airports in the UK, at £196.50.

However, Manchester Airport was placed fifth in the top 10, at £101.99, while Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) followed in sixth place, at £97.99.

In contrast, the cheapest sites for parking featured Edinburgh as the best, charging £43.99, followed in second and third by East Midlands and Stanstead – both owned by Manchester Airports Group – at £58.49, and £59.99, respectively.

Fourth in the list of cheapest parking sites was Doncaster Sheffield, owned by LJLA parent Peel, at £62.49.

My Late Deals compared the cost of parking a car for two weeks during the Summer holidays (August 5-19, 2019) at an official airport car park at 22 of the UK’s busiest airports.

The report said that Manchester Airport and Heathrow Airport asked for terminal information in the booking process, but the cost of the cheapest car parking space was the same, no matter which terminal you flew from.
