Office expansion adds to IT support firm’s capabilities

A Stockport IT support firm has extended its facilities to accommodate expanding staff and client needs.

San-iT, founded by Barry Lowe in 2007, embarked on its two-storey office extension and renovation of existing space earlier last year, and recently completed the scheme which included first-hand involvement by its own staff.

Barry Lowe said: “The San-iT team got DIY SOS game on.

“Myself and Seb took care of all of the electrics, along with Brian and Matt who chipped in on the decorating and lighting.

“Big thanks to Terry, our apprentice, who got his hands dirty, too. And to Mike, our builder, who fitted our beautiful new kitchen-come-dining room, a space that would impress even Gordon Ramsey.”

He said the San-iT team and its clients can now enjoy a range of new and exciting office features and areas.

“Previously, our office was just a work area – there was no room for socialising or unwinding.

“To change this we built a new space for relaxation. Our employees and visitors can come here to lounge on a luxurious sofa and play Fortnite or a round of darts.”

He added: “It gives them a zone to recharge between work and bond as a team.

“Plus, our brand new kitchen and lounge are perfect places for informal meetings.”

He said cutting-edge tech is also a feature of the new facilities, particularly for visitors and clients.

“Our new espresso machine connects to our mobile devices via Bluetooth, meaning we can take your order and provide some delicious caffeine in an instant.

“We’ve also implemented remote access for our flat screen TVs to make screen sharing for meetings seamless.”

The enlarged space is ideal for hosting masterclasses and conferences, he added.

Barry said: “We now have a workplace that truly reflects our business. San-iT is all about progression for our clients and for us.

“Now that our offices are bigger, more modernised and fuelled by awesome technology, we can show the world what we’re really about.”

San-iT helps businesses in the North West and across the UK make the most of what cutting-edge technology can offer while providing IT support centred around people, not just computers, Barry explained.

He said: “The close-knit team is bursting with talent, and San-iT invests in the next generation of local tech talent by offering apprenticeship schemes to upskill young technophiles, many of which gain full-time roles within the company.

“The result is a brilliant collision of fresh perspectives and reams of experience – San-iT clients get the best of both worlds when it comes to IT consultancy.”
