M65 Lancashire westbound closed due to Police incident

The M65 in Lancashire is closed westbound between J10 (near Burnley) and J8 (near Accrington) due to a Lancashire Police-led incident.

Traffic is being diverted via the solid diamond symbol.

Exit at J10 and turn left onto the A671 (Cavalry Way).

At the roundabout with the A679, take the third exit onto the A679 westbound (Accrington Road).

At the roundabout with Bentley Wood Way, stay on Accrington Road until the roundabout with the A56.

Take the first exit, and then the third exit at the second roundabout to join the A56 northbound, and then rejoin the M56 at J8.

Authorities advise to allow extra time for journeys should you be heading in the area this morning.
