Airport calls for HS2 bosses to step up work on Northern phase
Manchester Airport has urged HS2 bosses to ramp up work on the Northern leg of the £56bn rail project to accelerate improvements to the region's rail system.
Charlie Cornish, chief executive of Manchester Airports Group (MAG), met with HS2 chief executive Mark Thurston at the airport last Friday (August 9) to discuss progress on the development of the line to Manchester, and the proposed station at Manchester Airport.
