Stately home to play host to new festival

Capesthorne Hall

A new festival is taking place in the  grounds of an historic stately home in Cheshire.

Hide & Seek Festival, which will offer a mixture of house, techno and disco music, will take place at Capesthorne Hall on Saturday 31 August.

Manchester commercial law firm Kuits advised on the license for the boutique music and arts festival.

Set in 100-acre grounds surrounding the 18th century hall, Hide & Seek’s inaugural festival will centre on several stages being built in the magical Mill Wood.

Anthony Lyons, joint head of licensing at Kuits, said: “It’s been a pleasure for us to advise the festival organisers You&Me on the license for this unique concept, helping take a music scene with a great underground following in Manchester out into the picturesque Cheshire countryside.

“I wish You&Me the best of luck for this highly anticipated festival, which I’m sure will provide the soundtrack to many people’s summers”.

Kurt Hurst, You&Me director, said: “Kuits has offered us outstanding support over the course of organising our first outdoor festival, helping us to overcome a number of obstacles.

“Hide & Seek is the culmination of a number of years of hard work and a long-term vision, and Kuits guidance has been invaluable in helping it to become a reality.

“We can’t wait to welcome people to Capesthorne Hall to share the experience and create lasting memories.”
