CONSTRUCTION giant Balfour Beatty has bought two Stockport-based companies for £1.9m.

It has purchased Multibuild Hotels and Leisure as well as Multibuild Interiors which specialise in the construction and fit-out of hotel and leisure facilities.

Balfour Beatty has bought both companies from Multibuild Holdings with cash.

The acquisitions will give it a stronger presence in the market and exposure to customers including Whitbread, Rank and Odeon.
