ARCHITECTS Calderpeel Carden Croft has been named preferred bidder to design four new community fire stations.

The government is providing £40m funding under the private finance initiative to establish new fire stations in Gloucestershire.

The five stations designed by Altrincham-based Calderpeel will each have a strong emphasis on sustainability and are being built by Kier Moss.
