Stars’ accountant swallowed by James Grant

A NORTH West accountancy firm whose clients include singer Mick Hucknall, rock group Simple Minds and comedians Alan Carr and Johnny Vegas, has been bought by James Grant Group.

Prestwich-based S Crowther & Co is now part of the London-based entertainment agency James Grant Group, which is backed by the Manchetser office of Gresham Private Equity.
 
Steven Crowther & Co is now part of OJK – James Grant Group’s professional services division, which provides accounting, taxation and royalty examination services to clients within the music, sports and broadcast media industries.
 
Pat Savage, managing director of OJK and a director of JGG said: “Steven Crowther & Co has a highly regarded client base and in acquiring this business we augment the presence we have in the North West following the acquisition of Addis & Co last year.

“Steven will lead the OJK North West practice and I am delighted we will have the opportunity to work with him and his talented team.”
