MOSI still waiting for Kaupthing cash

THE Manchester Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) has clawed back 20% of the cash it lost in the collapse of the Icelandic bank Kaupthing, Singer and Friedlander.

The museum had £923,319 tied up in the bank when it failed in October, 2008.

We should impose an exit "development tax" at UK airports on Icelanders leaving the UK to return home, of say £20 per head. This money should go to organisations like MOSI, or Hospitals who have also lost out to the Icelandic Banks. This type of tax has been imposed sucessfully at The West of Ireland Airport (Knock) for its own development.
