North West Business Masters 2012 to showcase excellence

THE most successful businesses and entrepreneurs in the region will be celebrated and honoured at TheBusinessDesk.com’s North West Business Masters 2012 awards in association with Jaguar.

The event, at the end of April, is like no other business awards, as it focuses on quality, not quantity, and also offers fantastic networking opportunities on the day.

Nominations are invited in six categories with the awards to be presented at a lunch-time event at Manchester’s landmark Midland Hotel on April 26.

Featuring just six awards, three entrants will be shortlisted per category. Each finalist will be interviewed at the event, allowing them to further showcase their success in front of some of the leading players in the region’s business community.

Winners of the inaugural awards in 2011 included Neville Richardson, chief executive of Co-operative Financial Services, Brian Davidson of Crown Paints, Michael Oglesby, chairman and founder of property company Bruntwood and Bill Jones, managing partner of JMW Solicitors.

The award categories are: North West Ambassador, Newcomer, Innovator and Pride and two new awards for this year, North West Exporter and North West Manufacturer.

The North West Innovator award is sponsored by law firm Cobbetts, further partners and sponsors will be announced in the coming weeks.

TheBusinessDesk.com editor Chris Barry said: “We are really excited to be launching this year’s North West Business Masters after a hugely successful and enjoyable maiden event in 2011.

“The Business Masters is more than just the awards, it is an opportunity to make new high-level contacts, catch up with old colleagues and explore new business opportunities in a relaxed atmosphere.

“Over the next few weeks we’ll be highlighting the achievements of nominees and celebrating the best of the region’s business in the build-up to the main event in April. “

The categories are:

North West Ambassador: Greatest contribution to business in the region
North West Newcomer: Best new business initiative.
North West Pride: Most meaningful philanthropic initiative by a business, organisation or leader
North West Innovator: Most creative product, idea or original business thinking
North West Exporter: Recognising outstanding success in international markets
North West Manufacturer: The company leading the way in this critical sector

Nominations can be made now by emailing nwmasters@thebusinessdesk.com or clicking here and will close on February 24.

A panel of judges will produce a shortlist before readers of TheBusinessDesk.com get their opportunity to vote online for the winners in each category.
