Firms should make ‘going green’ a priority

A NORTH West energy expert is asking firms to do more to be green following the conclusions of a national report.

The report by world business leaders’ group Lloyds 360 Risk Insight and Chatham House ‘think tank’ has concluded that businesses need to make ‘going green’ a priority.

Now Peter Bladen – who runs solar panel firm BSOLAR based in the Lancashire town of Halsall- is urging firms to do everything they can to decrease their reliance on fossil fuels.

Mr Bladen said: “The Lloyds report makes interesting reading and businesses in the North West should take their lead from this.

“Company owners who have their own premises need to start thinking towards the future and developing ways of cutting energy costs and becoming more sustainable.

“The government is now offering incentives for homeowners and business owners to go green, so there is no better time to start considering alternative energy solutions.”
