Solar panel business launches wholesale arm

RENEWABLE energy company Eco Environments has launched a wholesale division after signing a pair of distribution deals with German manufacturers.

The Liverpool-based firm has secured northern regional distributorships with solar panel maker Winaico and K2 Systems, which makes mountings for the panels.

Director David Hunt said: “We are thrilled to have been selected by two such prominent solar technology manufacturers as their northern regional distributors.

“Eco Environments’ new wholesale division complements the other areas of our business and is something we are keen to develop further over the coming months.

“As well as selling all individual panels, inverters and components, the wholesale division will be selling full PV kits for smaller installers, providing technical and design support as part of the service. An online ordering system will be live within weeks.”

Eco Environments is led by its three directors, Mike Clarke, David Hunt and Mark Buchanan, and employs 54 people. It is on course to increase turnover from £1.4million to £5million during its current financial year. It operates from a headoffice in north Liverpool and six other offices at Carlisle, Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and North Wales.
