Energetix extends Carillion relationship

ALTERNATIVE energy provider Energetix Group is building on its relationship with infrastructure giant Carillion.

The AIM-listed Cheshire-based firm’s subsidiary Genlec has signed a deal with Carillion Energy Services to provide installation, maintenance and after- care services in support of its Kingston microCHP boiler field trial programme.

The Kingston boiler also produces electricity for domestic use, and also allows householders to sell any surplus back to the National Grid, thereby helping to cut  energy bills.

Carillion Energy Services provides energy services, which includes a nationwide heating system installation, after care and repair service to a wide range of customers  including individual householders.

Under the agreement, Genlec will train Carillion’s installation, service and customer service centre staff on the Kingston microCHP boiler to help them support the trial programme.

Tony Stiff, commercial director of Energetix said: “This is an important step in building Genlec’s capability and experience of installing and servicing its Kingston microCHP boilers and will be of great value to Genlec as it commercialises its Kingston microCHP appliance.

“We believe this agreement will provide a good opportunity to demonstrate Genlec’s delivery capability in addition to developing routes to market.”

Paul Varley, MD of Carillion Energy Services, said, “We are very pleased to be working with Genlec in support of the commercialisation of their low cost Kingston microCHP product. This fits very well with Carillion aims to provide low cost solutions in the field of energy efficiency products and services.”
