Judge Gill opens Wedgwood store in Harrods

MANCHESTER-based retail design agency JudgeGill has created a new retail concession for WWRD – the company behind iconic homeware brands Waterford Crystal, Wedgwood and Royal Doulton.

The new concession, which contains a materials palette and a merchandising technique that recreates a fine dining experience – is now on display at London-based design store Harrods.

Ric Mather of JudgeGill, said that the concept, which is the largest international retail space created by company, will contain a customer consultation area and a number of limited edition pieces from each range.

“We have created a coherent strategy and retail experience that is inclusive for all brands in the WWRD group’s broad portfolio. In the Harrods department, for example, key collections on display include this season’s new launches from Waterford and Wedgwood such as Alana Lime crystal gift, John Rocha’s modern Folio stemware and the vintage-style Cuckoo tea collection; which sit side-by-side with popular tailored classics from Jasper Conran and Vera Wang.”

JudgeGill said that the concept will now be adapted for other high-end retail destinations as well as mid-market department store spaces.
