Reverse takeover could see Mercury become mining firm

MERCURY Recycling Group, the Trafford Park-based recycler of lighting tubes and street lamps, is being used as a vehicle for a reverse takeover that will see it buy iron more mining rights in a South African project for £13.7m. The company's shares are being used as a method for raising cash to buy iron ore mining rights from South African firm Sylvania Platinum. More than 203m new ordinary shares in Mercury Recycling will be issued at a price of 6.75p per share.
