Budget 2012: "Groundbreaking" £1.2bn City Deal for Manchester

MANCHESTER has struck a £1.2bn deal with the Government which will be used to support investment in what the Chancellor described as "growth-enhancing infrastructure".Although the Chancellor gave few details of the nature of this investment in his speech, he said that the investment was part of a package whereby the government would be "working with our great cities to devolve decision-making powers.The deal includes an "earn back" measure, which allows the city to keep extra tax revenues created captured from projects in ......for the full story register now for free or login below...
