Apadmi triumphs at Northern Tech awards

MOBILE apps firm Apadmi was named as the fastest-growing technology company at the Northern Tech Awards, which took place last night at Salford’s Lowry Hotel.

The awards, which were founded last year by Techcelerate CEO Manoj Ranaweera, also saw Amazon integration specialist Camiloo – based at The Sharp Project in north Manchester – land the award for best Venrture-based start-up.

Recruitment company Hiring Hub of Manchester won the award for Best Bootstrapped tech start-up – an award for the company which has self-financed its growth – while lettings portal makeurmove.co.uk won Best Consumer Tech company.

The awards were judged by a panel that included Dabs.com founder David Atherton, former Laterooms CEO Chris Allan and Springboard CEO Jon Bradford.
Mr Ranaweera said: “We’re delighted that in only our second year the Northern Tech Awards are firmly established as an essential event for the technology sector.

“The quality of applications this year has also been exceptional.”
