Appointments: Garricks; Bruton Knowles & more

ADRIAN Leslie, an experienced corporate lawyer has joined Lancashire commercial law firm Garricks.

Mr Leslie joins Blackburn-based Garricks after previous roles with Stripes Solicitors, Manchester, and Taylors, Blackburn.

Corporate partner and co-founder Andy Herricks, said: “The economy is tough but we’ve still been busy on the deals front. PROPERTY consultant Bruton Knowles has appointed of Chris Renshaw as senior surveyor in its Manchester office.

Mr Renshaw was formerly a director at CRC North and he has experience in agency, development consultancy and professional services including, landlord and tenant and valuations.

Partner and head of the Manchester office James Bailey said: “Chris is a highly regarded and well-known property professional whose breadth of experience and expertise, particularly in retail, will make him a huge asset to the team.”

CATHERINE Mackenzie has been appointed as chairman of Wilmslow Business Group.

The businesswoman, who runs her own agency, Mackenzie Marketing from the town, takes over from retailer Steve Morris of Sainsbury’s in the role.  The Business Group develops initiatives to encourage more business in the town; and provides opportunities for Wilmslow businesses to network .

She said: “As well as my business being based in Wilmslow, I live here and my children go to the High School.  As a consequence I am keen for Wilmslow to be the best it can be. There are lots of exciting projects which the Business Group is currently developing and delivering.”
