easyJet brings forward Basel route

EASYJET is bringing forward the launch date of its new route from Manchester Airport to Basel a month early.

The airline said it will begin flying the service from October 1 due to “exceptionally strong” pre-booking figures. It plans to operate the route for four days a week with one-way fares from £29.99.

UK commercial manager Ali Gayward said: “The Manchester to Basel route has proven to be one of the most popular routes we have launched from the North West so far.”

The airline already operates a route from Manchester to Geneva.
