Salford Mayor's salary set at £69,000

SALFORD's new elected mayor is set to receive a salary of around £69,000, according to a new council report.A new independent panel has set the mayor's allowance levels and recommended that the deputy mayor also receives 65% for their role - or around £44,580.The salaries have been recommended by a four-strong independent panel which includes Salford University's Pro Vice Chancellor Keith Barnes, Manchester Chamber of Commerce chief executive Clive Memmot, former Manchester Evening News editor and Scott Partnership dire......for the full story register now for free or login below...
