Jobs go in Bury as soap firm closes

A BURY-based soap manufacturer has gone into administration with the loss of 40 jobs.Sigma Soap ran out of funds and had not been trading for two weeks when Mazars partners Robert Adamson and Tim Askham were appointed as administrators on July 2.The 30 year-old company was a contract and private label manufacturer of soap and detergents products with an annual turnover of £3.5m.
