THE North West's visitor economy is in for an autumn boost after Manchester and Liverpool were unveiled as host cities for the X-Factor final and MOBO awards.In a break from tradition, Simon Cowell's X-Factor live final will move from London to Manchester Central for the first time in December, while the MOBO awards will return to Liverpool to the Echo Arena on Saturday November 3.

Visit Manchester estimates the X-factor could boost the local economy by as much as £7m.
