Whelan 'very worried' about JJB's future

DAVE Whelan, who built JJB Sports up from one shop in his hometown of Wigan to a listed company with 430 stores, says he is fearful over the company's future.

The veteran entrepreneur, who sold his near 30% stake in JJB in 2007 for £190m, told TheBusinessDesk.com, he hopes the retailer survives, but if it does go into administration, he would be interested in buying some stores.
