Expansion for Delphi Medical

A LANCASTER firm that offers drug and alcohol treatment services expects to double in size after winning new contracts.

Delphi Medical has secured contracts to provide drug and alcohol treatment at prisons in Staffordshire and Lancashire.

By the end of the year the firm expects to have added 20 new full-time staff, bringing its total to 45. It will also employ a team of 40 part-time staff who will helping to deliver treatment services at a local level.

Founded in 2007 by Dr Ian Guinan and Dr John Richmond, Delphi Medical has pioneered an abstinence approach to treatment, rather than relying on alternative substances such as methadone.

Dr Guinan said: “This recent expansion is the result of years of hard work and dedication by our team, sticking to our principles and delivering effective results as part of our mission to raise the standard of drug and alcohol treatment in the UK.”

“We have a proven track record in Lancashire and the North West and as a result we’re now being asked to take over services further afield.”
