Wax Digital signed up by Nissan Europe

MANCHESTER-based purchasing software firm Wax Digital has struck a deal with Nissan Europe.

Wax says its software will help Nissan control spending across 16 European territories.

Its web3 P2P system will enable 3,000 Nissan employees to raise requisitions electronically and ensure they are authorised.

The Hyde-based firm would not say how valuable the contract was, but described it as a six-figure deal.

Daniel Ball, business development director at Wax Digital, said: “Everything about this project is big, from number of users, territories and suppliers to spend under management, so there are some great opportunities for process improvement and bottom-line savings.”

Barry Wilmer, purchase systems development manager at Nissan Europe, said: “We have had an ambition for a number of years now to move all our European operations to a common eProcurement platform that can transform our purchasing and finance processes for both our purchasers and suppliers.

“In Wax Digital web3 we’re confident that we have now found a system and a supplier that can improve the way we do business with our supply chain across Europe and drive significant process efficiencies, controls and savings.”
