Barclays to close Salford Quays call centre

BANKING group Barclays is closing a call centre in Salford Quays, a move which will affect around 475 staff.The bank says the move is part of an efficiency drive and that it is not reducing overall headcount as new positions are being created at sites in Liverpool and Sunderland.
