Lancs developer gets started on student halls

PROPERTY company Primesite Developments is now on site delivering its first student accommodation scheme.

The Ormskirk firm has begun work on a £14.1m project which will see a total of 290 bedrooms built in Bolton, Stoke and Luton.

The works involve the delivery of White Lion Halls in Bolton, Lomax Halls in Stoke and Royal London House in Luton.

Director Bobbie Johnson said: “With the rise in student fees, universities have to work harder to attract students. Increasingly they are updating their estates and improving the quality of accommodation facilities on offer.

“This is proving to be a very lucrative arm of our business, and one which we are keen to grow. We are already submitting plans to develop a further four schemes in the North West.”

White Lion Halls in Bolton and Lomax Halls in Stoke are due for completion in September 2013. Royal London House in Luton is due for completion in September 2014.
