X1 Developments plans Chapel Street student block

LIVERPOOL’S X1 Developments is planning a 90-room student block in Salford’s Chapel Street.

The four-storey block, pictured, is across the road from a housing and retail development around the Bell Tower pub which is the first part of the £650m Salford Central regeneration project.

X1, which is working on a 160-room student scheme at Arndale House in Liverpool’s London Road, has appointed Salford-based agent Knight Knox to market the student rooms to investors with a starting price of £55,000.

Knight Knox, owned by Jeremy Knight and Owen Knox, specialises in overseas and student property. It has worked on a number of student schemes, including X1’s Arndale House.

Martin Copeland, sales director at Knight Knox, said: “This is the fourth time we have worked with X1 Developments and by combining with experienced developers such as X1, we can deliver high quality student projects in regions with a need for purpose-built student accommodation.”
