Appointments: New partner for JMW; Shaping Cloud; KQF Foods

LAW firm JMW Solicitors has expanded its business crime & regulation with a double hire from Mills & Reeve’s Manchester office.

Andrea James joins as partner and head of healthcare regulatory. She has brought with her a range of healthcare-sector clients. She specialises in advising healthcare professionals in both the NHS and private sectors and she represents doctors and dentists who are brought before their regulatory bodies.

Before joining George Davies, which is now Mills & Reeves, she spent three years at the General Medical Council in Manchester as an in-house lawyer. She is also joined at JMW by Mark Soboljew, a trainee solicitor, who is a former professional footballer and due to qualify later this year.

HIGH-growth Manchester IT consultancy, Shaping Cloud has appointed two new developers to its team.

The new hires come after the company won a place on the Government’s G-Cloud framework, which has led to a number of significant client wins.

The newcomers are George Harnwell, who joins as junior developer and Nicholas Mitchell, a front-end developer.

Managing director Carlos Oliveira, said: “We are always looking for young and talented developers, looking to learn and progress and we hope we can continue to build strong relationships with the universities and colleges who are producing them ”.

INDEPENDENT Lancashire-based halal food producer, KQF Foods, has  appointed Mubarak Desai to the post of key accounts sales manager.

KQF supplies local authorities and trade clients across Britain and overseas, and Mr Desai will work with these customers to maintain a high quality of service and to keep them informed of new products and other developments.

Managig director Faruk Vali said: “We’re very pleased to welcome Mubarak to the company. He joins us at a time when we are entering several new European markets and developing new products and incentives for agents, distributors and retailers.

“It’s very important that customers remain well looked after throughout this period and, of course, in all the months and years that follow. Mubarak is highly experienced in the fields of sales and customer service, so I’m confident that he’ll be a great asset to us.”

KQF has also recently appointed Sajid Mohammed, who will be joining the retail side of the business, and Masood Desai, who takes responsibility for quality assurance.
