Appointments: JPCS; Paymentshield; SCP & more

CHESHIRE highway maintenance and civil engineering contractor, JPCS, has strengthened its senior management team with the recruitment of Rosie Shanks as commercial and business development director.

She has more than 20 years’ experience in the highways and local authority sectors. Previous roles include commercial director at Ennis Prismo the road marking and specialist treatment manufacturer and contractor.

In her new role at Malpas-based JPCS, she will be growing the company’s client base in highways, rail and renewable energy infrastructure, as well as developing and managing its growth strategy.

Peter Shone, managing director of JPCS, said: “Rosie has a proven track record of maximising the profitability of contracts and developing lasting partnerships to secure sustained growth. She will be a fantastic addition to our already strong management team.”

JPCS maintains highways and railways across the UK and is also the leading installer of ground mounted solar PV. With a turnover of £10m the company works with clients such as Balfour Beatty, the Highways Agency, British Gas, Carillion, Eurovia and local authorities.

SCP Transport Consultants has recruited two new members of staff in its Manchester office.  John Moxham has joined as a principal engineer in the infrastructure design section and Chris Rushton as a transport planner.

Mr Moxham has more than 20 years’ experience in infrastructure design, having worked on civil engineering projects in private consultancy practices, local government and for a housebuilder.

INSURANCE company Paymentshield has recruited six new business development managers on the back of two new deals with Openwork and Sesame Bankhall Group.

In the field, Paul Southall joins from Pru Protect along with Stuart Mcleod from Santander and Helen Linnen from Paymaster. The new additions take the field-based key accounts team to six.

In addition the Southport company’s telephone-based team has also welcomed three new recruits Adam Ryan, Emma Ward and Lauren Cunningham.

TRAINING 2000 has appointed a new head of automotive to manage and develop the training of apprentices and grow commercial training in its automotive division.

With more than 25 years’ experience working at national organisations including the RAC, Alastair Crawshaw brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Blackburn-based training provider.

Mr Crawshaw, who spent a decade working in training at the RAC supporting motor manufacturers and teaching to master technician level, started his career in industry with a five-year apprenticeship after leaving school.

SOLICITOR Sarah Edwards has joined the Blackburn based commercial property team at law firm Napthens as the firm continues to expand its offering in East Lancashire.

She joins from Countrywide Conveyancing Services where she acted on the sale and purchase of residential property. Her career also includes time at a number of major Manchester law firms.

Sarah’s expertise includes handling property acquisitions and sales, dealing with freehold, leasehold clients. At Napthens she will advise clients on a wide range of commercial property matters but will also work in the firm’s specialist leisure and ecclesiastical teams.
