Urban Bubble’s growth spurt continues

TURNOVER is on track to surge past £1m at ambitious residential property management firm Urban Bubble.

The company, founded in 2008, now employs 31 people and saw 2012/13 sales double to £658,000 and it expects turnover to reach £1.2m by March 2014.

It attributes its success to its growing reputation for value for money and high service levels. To emphasise such traction it has agreed deals to add a further 1,000 residential units to its portfolio which is already around 3,500.

The Manchester company founded and led by Liverpool-born Michael Howard, has recently added management of Advent 1, 2 and 3,  Muse Developments’ Smithfield Estate, Pulse in Old Trafford as well as beginning two significant ‘Right To Manage’ applications in the region.

Advent 1, 2 and 3 will bring a total of 385 units to Urban Bubble’s portfolio, with work beginning on September 1.  The Smithfield Estate agreement to manage a further 268 units begins a month later on October 1, with a further 80 currently under construction.

Pulse in Old Trafford comprises of 117 apartments and the ‘Right To Manage applications will see urbanbubble take over responsibility for 201 units for a site in Manchester Piccadilly and 180 units in Preston from December.

The company plans to link up directly with property developers and is working on deals with McCauls for The Point in New Islington and Nuovo in Ancoats.

Mr Howard said: “I am delighted that we have secured this level of new business. It is a great position to in, but I wouldn’t say it was unexpected; we have worked for months and in some cases years with leaseholders on these sites and I have always known that the business model I have built had real potential, that we were filling a gap in the market and providing a level of service and value like no other.

“We have worked hard this year to ensure that the business is in a place to take on the volume we are experiencing; we have doubled up on office space, invested significantly in technological innovations and employed a further nine staff. It is our ability to deliver the quality of service that we do, whilst achieving good growth levels that ensures our success.“
