Premier League spending at record levels, says Deloitte

TRANSFER spending by Premier League clubs looks set to hit a record level, according to Deloitte's Manchester-based sports business group.According to figures released on Friday ahead of the transfer deadline today, gross spending has totalled £430m, up 15% on last year.Deloitte will release its full analysis of the summer transfer window on Tuesday.Partner Dan Jones said: “This summer looks set to be a record for the Premier League in gross, and quite possibly also net transfer spending.
