Appointments: Squire Sanders lures Liptrott from Eversheds & more

SQUIRE Sanders, the international law firm, has lured Eversheds corporate partner Daniel Liptrott as a partner in its Manchester office.

He specialises in transactions for private and listed clients as well as advising on capital markets transactions such as IPOs and secondary issues. He has particular experience within the engineering and retail sectors.

Mr. Liptrott’s recent experience includes advising Manchester-based NCC Group on its acquisitions of iSEC Partners, Inc., SDLC Solutions and Meridian Services and listed car dealership group Lookers on its acquisition of Lomond Motors.

Jane Haxby, EMEA chair of the firm’s global corporate practice, said: “We have been looking to add to our strong corporate finance practice in Manchester, and Daniel’s background and strong local profile, together with his track record in developing close relationships with corporate clients, made him a good fit with our existing team.

“Daniel was attracted by our growing international platform and the opportunity it affords him to continue to build his practice both within and outside the UK.”

Mr Liptrott follows former colleague Hannah Kendrick, who recently joined the firm’s corporate practice as a partner in Leeds.
