Banc Media sees net gain

BANC Media, the search engine marketing specialist launched by two former Latitude Group executives, has reported good progress 13 months after its launch.

Staff numbers at Salford Quays-based Banc Media, which is led by managing director Martin Cozens and client services director Neil Birchall, have risen from two to seven as the business has beaten its targets.

Mr Cozens, a former account and partnerships director at Warrington-based Latitude said: “Launching a business in a difficult economic environment was never going to be easy and the market we are in is competitive too, but I am pleased with our progress.

“We are trading above our business plan and are building up a solid client base across a wide range of business sectors from travel, retail and professional services.”

Banc, which specialises in search engine optimisation (SEO) and pay per click (PPC), expects to have grown staff numbers further by the end of the year, Mr Cozens said.

“The summer months are never really active because so many people are away, but we’re expecting to be very busy in the final quarter of the year, particularly on the consumer side.”

Clients include Cruise 1st UK, a cruise holiday brand, which has been so impressed with Banc’s work that it has asked it to undertake a search marketing campaign for it in Australia.

Other clients include perfume retailer The Fragrance Shop, Tracesmart, a people tracing agency and the British Institute of Florence.
