Property Week to change hands

PUBLISHING group UBM has agreed to sell its trade title Property Week.

The title which competes with Estates Gazette is being bought by Metropolis International, the group behind publications such as Packaging News and Motor Trader.

It is headquartered in London but has 240 staff across seven offices including Bolton.

All 35 of Property Week’s staff will transfer under the terms of the deal.

UBM is also selling UBM Tech, a US-based IT news service. It said both disposals would generate around £8.5m.
