Clothes2Order woos entrepreneur Lara Morgan

HIGH profile entrepreneur Lara Morgan has joined the board of Manchester SME Clothes2Order.

Having met the company’s managing director Micahel Conway through a business networking organisation, Miss Morgan was persuaded to join the board of the Trafford Park-based manufacturer.

Her appointment is something of a coup for Clothes2Order as she turned down more than 30 other non-executive directorship offers.

Miss Morgan is best-known as the founder of Pacific Direct Group, which makes and distributes licensed toiletries and other guest amenities, such as umbrellas, sewing kits and slippers, to hotels, cruise lines and airlines.

She currently heads, CompanyShortcuts.com, a platform to support growing businesses with their training and leadership skills development.
She is also an author and recently appeared on the panel of spin-off show The Apprentice: You’re Fired

Commenting on her new role, she said: “I want to make a fundamental difference to Clothes2Order. The company has ambitious growth plans and I have been impressed by recent developments in the business, such as its new website, and by its commitment to innovate.

“Added to that, I love manufacturing, so I am really excited at the prospect of helping Clothes2Order to expand.”

Clothes2Order prints and embroiders logos on to polo shirts, t-shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts for businesses, clubs and societies as well as promotions and events.

MD Michael Conway said: “Lara is an exceptional entrepreneur and we see a strong role for her in terms of helping to increase our sales and our overall business development.

“She has great experience of growing a business, and understands our industry. We are well-positioned for further growth in the future and having Lara on board will help us to achieve our goals.”
