Citypress wins Midcounties Co-operative brief

MANCHESTER public relations firm Citypress has picked up the account for the Midcounties Co-operative, the largest independent co-operative society in the UK.
 
Citypress will now handle consumer and trade PR for eight of the society’s trading groups, including Co-operative Food, Travel, Childcare, Pharmacy and Funeralcare.
 
The Midcounties Co-operative is headquartered in Warwickshire and has more than 500 sites and 439,000 members, and sales of more than £1bn.
 
Its trading region covers Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Shropshire, the West Midlands, Worcestershire and the surrounding counties.

Citypress chief executive Charles Tattersall said: “The society has appointed us to deliver innovative campaigns and ongoing support to its trading groups in sectors where we have significant experience and capability such as food retail, travel and healthcare.”
 
Citypress also has offices in London, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Bristol. It now has more than 50 staff and annual revenues of £3.5m.
