London PR firm Citigate opens in Manchester

LONDON public relations firm Citigate Dewe Rogerson has taken an office in Manchester’s Spinningfields.

The firm, which handles corporate and consumer PR, said it is keen to target a number of sectors including professional and financial services, advanced manufacturing and sport.

But it also wants to be closer to existing clients in the area, and the BBC’s new Northern headquarters at MediaCityUK in Salford.

The office, at 3 Hardman Street, is being led by Ian Morris who is currently recruiting a team.

Jonathan Flint, managing director of Citigate’s corporate team, said: “With the BBC’s move to Manchester and the growth of business sectors in the area, it is an exciting place to be. We believe this new base will give businesses centred in the region the opportunity to tap into the resources and experience of a big international PR firm yet still get local face-to-face service.

“There are significant opportunities to grow our client base not just in Manchester itself, but in other growing business centres like Leeds and Liverpool as well as provide on the ground service to our existing clients in the area.”
