Approval for Galliford Try housing schemes

THE Warrington-based northern arm of construction group Galliford Try has secured planning permission to deliver two residential schemes in Lancaster and Knowsley.

The Lancaster scheme consists of 53 homes on a three-acre site on the edge of the town centre off Langdale Road and Bulk Road, while in Knowsley its is building 40 homes on the site of a former pub on Church Road in Halewood Village.

Both schemes are being delivered for social landlords by Galliford Try Partnerships, the company’s affordable housing division. The developments have been supported with grant funding from the Homes and Communities Agency.

Darren Leary, development director at Galliford Try Partnerships, said: “These schemes represent further growth for our Partnerships division in the region. We are committed to rapidly expanding our regeneration business in the North West and playing our part in increasing the supply of much needed affordable homes in the region as the housing market continues to improve into 2014.”
