Roberts switches from DLA Piper to Weightmans

ANDREW Roberts has joined law firm Weightmans in Liverpool after more than 20 years with DLA Piper.

Roberts, who was a member of the firm’s litigation and regulatory group, is moving to Weightmans as a partner in commercial dispute resolution (CDR) team.

He became a DLA partner in 2007 and specialised in high value commercial litigation for a range of clients including large corporates and public authorities.
 
He said: “I am excited about my new role at Weightmans. I am looking forward to working with the rest of the team here to grow both the CDR and commercial business lines.”
 
CDR partner Andrew Cox said: “The team has gone from strength to strength this year, with additional hires and trainees obtaining their qualifications. Having five CDR partners gives us a competitive advantage, and we are confident about the development of this side of the business in 2014 and beyond.”
