APS invests in new print equipment

STOCKPORT printing and marketing group APS has agreed a loan with Barclays to fund a new printing press.

The equipment, manufactured by the Koenig & Bauer Group, will replace three existing machines.

Established in 1961, APS Group has offices in Stockport, London, Edinburgh, Eindhoven, Malmö, Paris and Portland, and employs more than 600 people.

Managing director Nick Snelson said: “Our business has delivered significant growth in revenue and profit over recent years on the back of strong organic growth and selective acquisitions.

“We have been very impressed with the holistic approach from Barclays, their appetite to do business in the current financial climate, and their support is an endorsement of our strategy and illustrates both the strength of our balance sheet and the quality of our asset base.”

The Barclays deal team was led by relationship director Steve Berry and asset finance director Sarah Pickering. The value of the loan was not disclosed.
