Cheshire tourism businesses have grouped together to market themselves in a bid to boost visitor numbers.

Backed by Vale Royal Borough Council, the Destination 49 scheme is made up of twelve businesses running along a seven mile stretch of the A49 road in Cheshire.

Andrea Peattie, Vale Royal Borough Council tourism manager, said: "Destination 49 has helped bring a group of already successful attractions together to create a new brand that will generate thousands of new visitors for the region.
