Work starts on £50m Blackpool housing scheme

HOLLINWOOD Homes, part of the Marcus Worthington group, has started work on a £50m plan for 400 new homes in Blackpool.

The 19-acre Foxhall Village scheme off Rigby Road, designed by Broadway Malyan, will deliver two, three and four bedroom homes, with 70 of the plots being developed for Great Places social housing group.

Mark Chadwick, residential development director at Hollinwood, said: “These two neglected parcels of land are being brought back into use to great benefit of the surrounding area and this key gateway into the town centre, providing much needed housing and creating a vibrant community.

“We’ve already seen a large amount of interest in these high quality, energy efficient homes at Foxhall Village, and hope that we can announce the first registration soon.”

Planning permission was granted for the development in September.
