Jonson looks to hire as Pannone Corporate wins maiden client

PANNONE Corporate is celebrating its maiden client win, days after the formal demerger from the rest of the firm.

The Manchester firm, which launched last week, has been engaged to act for the UK arm of Belgium-based Sebelco Group, an industrial minerals supplier.

Sibelco UK, which is based in Sandbach, joins an impressive line-up of existing clients including: industrial chains manufacturer Renold; the Co-operative Group; Bargain Booze and online fashion retailer boohoo.com.

Pannone Corporate Managing Partner Paul Jonson said that the firm is in discussions with a number of partners and lawyers as the firm looks to recruit real estate, commercial and construction solicitors.

He said: “We are delighted to be open for business. Our existing corporate and commercial clients have been hugely supportive of our plans and we are extremely pleased to have so many of our well known and most established clients join us.”

Mahmud Kamani joint chief executive of Manchester-based boohoo.com said: “We have worked with the team for many years and they have played an integral part in our growth strategy. We are very much looking forward to working with Pannone Corporate in the future.”

Pannone Corporate was formed as part of the transaction that saw Australian group Slater & Gordon acquire the consumer facing business and some elements of the commercial practice of Deansgate-based Pannone for £33m.
